Abstract
Discussion: ArcGIS Server Application Development and System Architecture Track: Application Development Author(s): Bonan Li, Brian Fitzgerald Esri ArcGIS Server provides a platform for building enterprise -evel Web GIS applications, which enables not only the traditional mapping and query but also the comprehensive GIS data maintenance and management. Richland County, South Carolina, has begun development on a variety of GIS-centric applications including a comparative sales analysis tool and a district and voting information application. In addition, Richland County is beginning to implement Web-based GIS data editing in the Business Service Management System. This session will cover the system architecture of our ArcGIS Server applications including network configuration, security schemas, system performance, data administration, and software development solutions. Development challenges and accomplishments will be discussed, and applications developed to date will be presented.
