Abstract
DIGITAL MAP OF RURAL LANDSCAPE IN THE FRAME OF THE ILUP - POMORAVI PROJECT Track: Ecology and Conservation Author(s): Radek Kadlubiec For centuries, the middle European territory is very intensive used and transform area. That is reason for tendencies of the conservation of landscape character, which will ensure good living conditions for the people and biodiversity escalation. One of the tools for planning these activities is the Digital map of the rural landscape (DMRL). This spatial dataset describes real land cover with high accuracy. DMRL is based on visual interpretation of color orthophoto maps using reference data sources (agriculture, forestry). The result of mapping is homogenous geographic database about rural landscape in 1:5,000 scale. One of the main categories is supporting and diffusing vegetation that is not included in official forestry and agriculture land. ArcGIS vector and raster analyses tools were used for evaluation of specified areas. Analyses were based on landscape fragmentation, boundary length of nature ecotons, etc. Results of analyses are used for landscape planning. Radek Kadlubiec Ekotoxa Opava s.r.o.
