Abstract
UNEP-WCMC GIS Support to Industry Track: Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Affairs Author(s): Charles Besançon, Ian May UNEP-WCMC has been working in collaboration with various industry partners for most of its existence. This collaboration takes many forms from the provision of integrated reports on environmental features to the support of industry partners in the event of an environmental emergency. Esri data management and presentation software is integral to all aspects of our support to industry. The integrated system within UNEP-WCMC makes use of GIS data within ArcGIS, ArcSDE and ArcIMS, allowing for the production of a variety of products, analyses and applications. These support industry partners in the integration of environmental data into their ongoing business processes and emergency response activities.
