ArcGIS Server as an Information Portal for Software Integration

Providing timely and accurate information is crucial for making decisions within the City of Mesa, Arizona. The Information Services Division used ArcGIS Server to create an interface for presenting information from third-party commercial off-the-shelf software product, thus able to leverage existing technology investments. Through a Web interface, users are now able to find spatial and nonspatial information presented together from a single platform for making decisions. Utilizing the ArcGIS Server, users are able to perform searches and gather reports in real-time from the field via a Web browser detailing information such as case history, rights-of-way, buildings, zoning, land use and aerials. Providing user more time on decision making and less on information searching.
