Abstract
NGA's Commercial Imagery Program--Key Advances in 2006 Track: Remote Sensing Imagery Author(s): Bill Baer One of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA) key transformation initiatives is seamless integration of commercial imagery into all operations. Increasing demand for this unclassified data source continues to be addressed by the Agency with investments in software and systems improvements as well as next-generation commercial satellites. This paper will highlight the 2006 operational release of the ArcIMS software-based Production Management Alternative Architecture (PMAA), which will provide commands, services, and agencies with a single multilevel security discovery and retrieval tool for commercial data held by NGA and its commercial mission partners. In addition, PMAA will provide an interface for requesting new collections or archive acquisitions and tracking its status until delivered. This session will also include a demo of PMAA and other tools as well as an overview of the NextView satellite system scheduled for launch in 2006.
