Integrating GIS into a Pole Replacement Workflow System Track: Electric and Gas Author(s): Chris May, Julie Henry Southern California Edison's pole replacement process utilizes GIS as a component in ensuring the company is compliant with the environmental standards of all the relevant regulatory bodies. This paper will detail the integration of an automated GIS component toolset within the overall process. This component fuses together technologies such as Active Server Pages, (ASP), ArcIMS and XML to produce fast, efficient and online spatial data analysis.
