Abstract
Managing the Open Space Using GIS Capabilities into National Park Service Track: Parks and Natural Reserves Author(s): Geta Dragut The National Park Service's Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area has developed an open-space database with GIS functionality using MapObjects. The geodatabase includes a GIS interface that allows entering and querying data based on the GIS components. Also, tools were created for search based on field information and species. These would facilitate a better understanding of park resources and management of open-space land and their habitat. This paper will explore the processes that were initiated to achieve the project's goals.
