Abstract
Illinois Tollway Capital Improvement Program and Political Jurisdiction Application Track: New Technology and System Integration Author(s): Kurt Lebo, Jon Olenski The purpose of this application is to facilitate the communication of improvements and investment activities from tollway officials to political leaders during budget discussions. Tollway officials require a completely portable application that will allow easy network access since these discussions occur at any time and place. The application must have high quality standards, cannot fail, must present information in a clear and easy to use interface, and must be easily replicated as budget and projects change over time. As a result, this application was created using the ArcGIS Server platform and the tollway's ArcSDE GIS data repository to pull required resources and related analysis together into the final presentation format, that is HTML, with reports produced in PDF format. The discussion will focus on the tollway's stringent design requirementss which drove the application design process and how ArcGIS Server platform was utilized to meet these requirements.
