An Enterprise-Wide Model for Managing Facility Assets Track: Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Author(s): David Jordani This session will discuss the successful integration of Esri technology as a key component in facility space and asset management systems. Facility assets are a significant component of an organization's balance sheet, and information about these assets is central to the business operations of these organizations. A Web-deployed enterprise-wide approach makes facilities data available to information systems and databases to support decision making in each business unit. Enterprise solutions require thoughtful planning, design and resource management. Successfully implemented, they return higher ROI because of the breadth of issues they support. Case histories will include a discussion of the SPACE System at Abbott Labs. Abbott's SPACE system provides detailed information on the occupancy, size, use, programs, accessibility, and other characteristics of space.
