Efficient Manageability of Cadastral Parcels Transaction Records
Track: Cadastral and Land Records
Author(s): Neeraj Dixit, Ammar Al-khashram

This paper highlights the effective use of available technology in the manageability of parcels transaction records in Survey & Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) of Bahrain.

The main parcel transactions are used to sell, purchase, and transfer from one owner to another. In the past, SLRB maintained all the cases related to respective parcel transactions on paper maps. Authorized officials wrote the case number related to each parcel on paper maps. The manual way of recording transactions on paper maps has many inherent limitations.

To overcome limitations and to carry out work more effectively and efficiently, SLRB decided to develop a Web-based system, namely, Case File Application (CFA), to keep track of all the parcel transactions in a digital environment.

This paper will elaborate on how CFA was developed and how it is being interfaced with higher-level business applications to achieve greater transparency and quick information access at the enterprise level.
