Abstract
The Joint Research Centre Spatial Data Infrastructure Track: Spatial Data Infrastructure Author(s): Steve Peedell The paper will detail the ongoing initiative to develop a spatial data infrastructure for the JRC, which functions as a reference center of science and technology for the European Union. The pan-European geographic datasets and services created and coordinated by JRC will be showcased, together with the development of metadata and geoportal technologies, demonstrating how the JRC SDI is contributing to the development of a European SDI (INSPIRE).
