Abstract
 New Features in GITA's Geospatial Technology Report Track: GIS Organization, Management and Implementation Author(s): Cindi Salas, Robert Samborski This presentation will highlight GITA's eighth annual Geospatial Technology Report, which presents an extensive overview of the state of the geospatial industry, covering the scope, uses, and funding of geospatial projects around the world. The report contains detailed information on the completeness, complexity, and direction of geospatial projects being implemented at infrastructure-based organizations. Six vertical markets are represented: electric, gas, pipeline, public sector, telco, and water/wastewater. There is analysis of the latest application development priorities and the most common applications integrated with GIS. Benchmarking metrics are included, providing useful tools to the user community in planning for the future and anticipation of industry direction. This complements significant additions to the previous report including current year budget information and six-year trend analysis. The report continues its traditional analysis of vendor market share, maintenance cycles, implementation approaches, top 10 applications and technologies, and land-base accuracy and sophistication.
