Abstract
Web-Based EGIS for the Albuquerque-District of the Corps of Engineers Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): John Peterson, Candice Kjobech The Albuquerque district of the Corps of Engineers includes more than 195,000 square miles. District activities include civil works projects such as levee construction, environmental restoration, watershed planning, management of dams and lakes, regulatory permitting, and emergency Management activities. The Albuquerque Corps' mission to consolidate and streamline data collection and dissemination incorporating an enterprise environment uses an intranet Web-based approach incorporating ArcIMS combined with Latitude Geographics' Geocortex Internet Mapping Framework (IMF). This presentation will describe and demonstrate how geospatial databases previously maintained independently have been consolidated into a multidisciplinary districtwide access system. See http://www.bosquerevive.com/ for an example of data types maintained by the Corps.
