Abstract
Facilities Management GIS Track: Parks and Natural Reserves Author(s): Brian Diethorn The primary goal of Facilities Management GIS is to acquire, deliver and archive spatial data and images for assets that are contained in FMSS (Facilities Management Software System). The data that is created will include GPS point data, building footprint data, and photographs of park assets that are included in FMSS. The photographs will be linked to the spatial GIS data that will be created as well as watermarked with FMSS-specific information and latitude and longitude coordinates. The results of this project will provide a spatial reference to FMSS that will assist in the visualization of a park's assets as a whole. In addition, this data will be incorporated into the enterprise GIS basemap project. This paper/presentation will document the process of FM-GIS data collection as well as the many uses and benefits of this data. Brian Diethorn National Park Service GISD 12795 W. Alameda Pkwy.
