 Real-Time Mobile Mapping Track: Parks and Natural Reserves Author(s): Timothy Smith, Tom Patterson This paper will cover real-time wildland fire mapping using GPS and Thales Project 25 digital, narrowband radio links. Although wildland fire mapping will be highlighted, additional topics will illustrate how this technology can be useful for other types of resource management activities in the National Park Service including facilities and incident management.
