Abstract
GeoBase QA/QC Tool Standardizes CIP to Ensure Data Sharing Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): Dana Dwyer The key to GeoBase success across the Air Force is easy access to a relevant Common Installation Picture (CIP) upon demand. Each installation CIP must be common when compared to one another to be incorporated into an Enterprise GIS. Creating this commonality has been a challenge across the Air Force. The ACC QA/QC Tool has been created that help to ensure data commonality and integrity in regards to the CIP schema, data layers, minimum attribution, and minimum metadata. The result is a report that provides the user with plenty of information to aid in determining what corrections need to be made. Each ACC base now runs this tool on their data before loading their data into a remote ArcSDE database for quarterly data calls. It has also proven as an excellent 'check' for contractor deliverables and Mission Data Sets! All data can then be shared on over the web to AF Portal account holders.
