Abstract
The Western Oregon Plan Revision Infrastructure, Design, and Implementation Track: Federal Systems Implementation Author(s): Jeffery Nighbert Any large project requires an overall "processing design" for the hardware/software infrastructure and analysis environment. This paper provides a comprehensive account of establishing a "virtual user environment" using Citrix terminal server, ArcSDE and ArcGIS Desktop environments. The Western Oregon Resource Management Plan Revision (WOPR) has used Esri products extensively for all analysis and graphic products. The overall plan involves six Bureau of Land Management Districts and the work of many people. A project of this size requires a special infrastructure to coordinate, capture, document and publish geoprocessing used to support the decisions made in this document. The paper is a hands on discussion of the WOPR infrastructure design, hardware, software and operating environment used to support this plan.
