Abstract
Enterprise Print on Demand Service (ePods) Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): James Rogers Enterprise Print on Demand Service (ePODs) is the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Analysis and Production Directorate (P) effort to expedite and modernize the creation of legacy chart formats based on geospatially enabled database information. ePODs is a revolutionary concept that utilizes evolutionary methods to provide hard-copy charts built from digital data to the customer. NGA is committed to transforming the methods used to store and generate Safety of Navigation products for aeronautical and maritime users. Currently, these products are created using various methods--some very labor intensive and some that are obsolete. ePODs is a means to use technology to turn the labor-intensive methods into an automated process.
