Abstract
Oil and Gas Leasing Using GIS, BLM's GeoCommunicator, and LR2000 Track: Petroleum and Pipeline Transmission Author(s): Leslie Cone This presentation will discuss and demonstrate the most recent developments within BLM's GeoCommunicator and the Legacy Rehost 2000 (LR2000). GeoCommunicator is the publication Web site module from NILS that allows for the distribution and access of spatial data from the NILS transaction application modules. Areas to be discussed will include some of the most recent additions to GeoCommunicator including solid minerals, geothermal, and rangeland. The site also allows users to bring data layers from GeoCommunicator into their own datasets. LR2000 will be discussed and users will be shown how they can benefit from being able to access the many available reports. GeoCommunicator and LR2000 can be used by the oil and gas industry as well as by those with energy interests to search, locate, access, and spatially display the BLM oil and gas agreements and leases within the United States.
