Abstract
C/JMTK Best Practices Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): John Henris This presentation will provide a set of best practices for developing C/JMTK mission applications. Primarily it will focus on how the newly released C/JMTK Framework Reference Implementation Sample Applications (RISA) can assist mission application developers in jump-starting their development efforts. The frameworks are a set of four RISAs that have been developed from the same design document but implemented in different programming languages: ANSI C++ (using GTK), Java, DotNet (using C#), and C++ COM. The presentation will further address some of the common design decisions faced by mission application designers like when to use a thick client over a thin one or when to use ArcGIS Server instead of ArcIMS.
