Abstract
Lifetimes at Risk: GIS-Supported Partnership for Adolescent Violence Reduction Track: Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Author(s): Janine Gottlieb This presentation will highlight the translational research strategies used to develop and implement Philadelphia's Adolescent Violence Reduction Program (AVRP), a targeted intervention program designed to prevent current and future violence amongst Philadelphia's youngest criminal offenders. The role of geospatial analysis in the design of the program and selection of target communities will be presented along with a preliminary analysis of the program's first six months (e.g. community impact assessment, outcome evaluation, etc.). This research represents a collaborative effort between Philadelphia Safe & Sound and the Philadelphia Department of Human Services.
