Abstract
GIS in School Decision Making Process: School Attendance Zone Planning Track: Education Author(s): Yinuo Du, Pauline Dow The focus of this presentation is to articulate a framework for using GIS and SPSS as general tools to collect, analyze, and facilitate the spatial data in a process to determine school attendance zones in a fast and efficient way. The presentation will include an example from a fast growing public school district with an annual growth rate of 10 percent. The presentation will also include a process to ensure the 100 percent geocoding rate and all necessary information layers to provide school district administration with tools necessary for successful execution of project.
