Abstract
Replicating State-Wide Property Data with ArcGIS Server Track: System Implementation for GIS Author(s): Jeremy Weber, TJ Muzorewa The Office of Local Government (OLG), a division of Tennessee State government within the State Comptroller of the Treasury, is responsible for administering a state-wide enterprise geodatabase comprised of parcel-level data produced through the Tennessee Base Mapping Program (TNBMP). As the state transitioned into the maintenance phase of the TNBMP, OLG was tasked with designing a maintenance architecture that would keep the enterprise geodatabase up-to-date and accurate. By leveraging Web services technology and the replication functionality built into ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE 9.2, OLG has designed an architecture that allows data maintenance done at the local government level to be realized by state, federal, and other local government agencies. This architecture has reduced redundancy and established a central source for state-wide TNBMP data. This presentation will take a detailed look inside the maintenance architecture and the design challenges we encountered.
