Abstract
Utah State History's ArcGIS Server Solution Track: Archaeology Author(s): Kristen Jensen Utah State History maintains a GIS of archaeological sites and investigations throughout Utah. Permitted archaeologists use these data for researching future projects. The State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) uses them to advise other agencies in their compliance responsibilities. Keeping this data current, however, has long been a challenge. An ArcGIS Server application has been implemented to provide for remote data entry and query of extant data. Utah's archaeological community is now using these data for the public good--for the research and protection of our shared cultural resources.
