Abstract
Utilize Esri Product Suites for a Web-Based Map Solution Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): Brigitte Steger The U. S. Army Europe (USAREUR) Sustainable Range Program (SRP) is responsible for modernizing U. S. Army Range Facilities and sustaining their environment to ensure long-term training capabilities. This presentation will highlight techniques employed by USAREUR to improve upon traditional paper products by utilizing current web-based GIS Technologies to bring spatial data to the customer. The focus will be on the necessary steps, how the data should be organized, and which of the suite of Esri products like ArcGIS, ArcSDE, and ArcIMS are used to obtain our ambitious goal. Additionally this presentation will explains how the USAREUR SRP Program utilizes these various tools and how the necessity to adhere to Department of Army mandate of converting all GIS data to the Spatial Data Standard for Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE) to fulfill the requirements for a world wide Server Web-Based Map Solution within the US Army.
