Deriving Business Benefit from Web Technologies and Business Intelligence Track: Business GIS Author(s): Pete Hebauf, Kirk Townsley, Bob Hazelton We will show how we utilize BI technologies via our Corporate Portal to satisfy our ever changing business needs through the integration of Web-based reporting and analytical applications and geographical maps. Hillman's portal based Business Intelligence applications allow our users, from Executives and business analysts to users on the frontline, to quickly react to performance trends. Using industry standard Business Intelligence tools in conjunction with ArcGIS (Geographic Information Services) from Esri, our sales force can optimize time in transit to better align territories and see territory mis-alignments resulting in cost savings for Hillman.
