Abstract
Using ArcGIS Server Data to Assist in Planimetric Update Process Track: State and Local Government Author(s): Rick Hammond, James Stout This paper will explore the use of ArcGIS Server generated information in the planimetric update process for the City of Indianapolis/Marion County GIS and IMAGIS. Indianapolis has used ArcGIS Server technology to integrate its Tidemark permit system with Esri GIS. This integration was accomplished using ArcGIS Server and the Java SDE API. As a result, features represented permitted structures are automatically generated in SDE during the permit issuance process. This paper will explore how that data is developed, how it's being incorporated into the update mapping process, and the cost/time savings realized as a result. Rick Hammond Woolpert, Inc.
