Abstract
Mosaic SDE Raster Layer of State-wide DOQQ in Natural Color Track: Remote Sensing Imagery Author(s): Jian Chen Aerial photos and DOQQs covering a metropolitan/State area usually need to change projection and put together as a mosaic image for a better regional view, quick navigation, and being accessible on line. It is significant to preprocess the images and load them into SDE to be a mosaic raster layer. The best part is that such raster layers are then accessible on line for general public through ArcIMS/GIS Server applications. ERDAS Imagine 9.0 is used to process the metropolitan Atlanta 2002, 2004, 2005 aerial photos, and 1999 infrared DOQQs including natural color conversion. The image tiles are loaded into SDE on a batch job through ArcCatalog 9.1 connection set in a mosaic mode. The image taken in different years are used for land-use change detection.
