Abstract
Westfield, IN, Public Works Digital As-Built Submittal Requirements Track: Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Author(s): Eric Becker, Leane O'Daniel Westfield Public Works Department (WPWD) has requirements that must be met before As-Built submittals will be accepted and performance bonds released. This paper outlines the requirements for the digital file portions of the As-Built submittals. The digital data consist of a Computer Aided Design (CAD) based drawing file in .DWG format and also for the As-Built data to be depicted and submitted in PDF format. The digital files may contain either an Excel spreadsheet or an Autodesk Map object data table populated with As-Built data following a Public Works Template. This table information identifies the relevant elements of the project that have been constructed and must pass field inspections. The digital As-Built submittals pertain to water distribution system, sanitary and storm collection systems, easement outlines, and sidewalks/paths locations. The goal of this requirement is to obtain and process accurate data into the departmental GIS.
