Vegas Ace-in-the-Hole Strategies to Ensure Neighborhood Performance Measures Pay Off Track: State and Local Government Author(s): Mike Gritz, Melissa Clary Do you have clue what's going on in your community? Do you sweat bullets when the elected officials call everyday asking for solutions to neighborhood problems? Do you know where to turn for help? This Session is for overworked municipal experts who need to have their finger on the pulse of the community with answers and solutions to complex questions that govern the health of their community. You will take away a number of things from this session, including a recipe of how to implement an indicator system to gauge the health your community, what indicators to look for, how to compile and interpret the indicators, which communities to target and the appropriate assets and solutions to apply, how to measure success (or the lack of) and when to redeploy resources, how to develop resources into strong, collaborative partnerships with a common goal, and lessons learned.
