Abstract
Enterprise GIS Implementation at Vista Irrigation District Track: Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Author(s): Ross Miles, Haritha Vendra, Masoud Hoseyni Vista Irrigation District (VID) recently migrated its water distribution system GIS data to ArcGIS geodatabase format from GeoMax. This completed Phase I of VID's "Enterprise GIS Implementation and Application Development" project. Phase II of the project includes implementation of an enterprise GIS viewer, development of customized applications such as valve isolation, customer shutdown notification, atlas book creation tool, and data edit tools enabling the staff to maintain and update the GIS data in an efficient manner. This paper will briefly describe the challenges VID faced using GeoMax and how they were resolved by migration to geodatabase and implementation of the enterprise GIS viewer, custom applications, and edit tools developed for VID.
