Abstract
Using ArcGIS Server for Water Resources Archiving and Dissemination Track: Water Resources Author(s): Lisa Pierce, Willie James The Water Resources Institute at California State University at San Bernardino (CSUSB) has been working on various Geographic-based digital mapping projects in conjunction with various departments at CSUSB. These efforts use GIS technologies to improve access to WRI's historical archives as well as allow researchers, students and faculty to apply our digital science methods with water related research. The WRI archival users within the Santa Ana Watershed and surrounding areas use the archives for legal water right assessment, historical landuse evaluation and various other research efforts. Using ArcGIS Server 9.0 to serve maps allows users to search for documents by place and watershed. This application development effort offers CSUSB interns a dynamic GIS learning environment, using applied technologies and science integration for public information sharing.
