Abstract
New Products from the Census Bureau's Modernized MAF/TIGER System Track: Census and Geodemographics Author(s): Rebecca Kinn, Sara Mishler This presentation will provide an introduction to the new products the Census Bureau is creating from the modernized MAF/TIGER System. After 18 years the era of TIGER/Line files is ending and a new era of creating products from a modernized MAF/TIGER system is beginning. The focus of the presentation will be the release of TIGER shapefiles. The decision to release TIGER data in the industry standard shapefile format was based in part on the availability of full feature and standalone viewer software from Esri.
