GIS Supporting Business Intelligence in a Convergent Telecom Company Track: Telecommunications and Location-Based Services Author(s): Joao Pedro Sant Anna Understanding the customer and marketplace is a constant challenge for any company. To know "where they are" and "who they are": customers, competitors, and our telecom infrastructure & network, are the key components to guide the actions of marketing executives. This paper will investigate the innovative way as Oithe largest telecom company of Braziluses GIS as a foundation for Business Intelligence and how it interacts with Data Mining, Database Marketing and Market research.
