Integration of GeoBase with Project and Facility Information
Track: Defense and Intelligence
Author(s): Mike Broten, John Spence

This presentation provides a detailed overview of the PACAF GeoBase Project and Facility Information Portal (PFIP), a web-based interface for accessing real-time project and facility-based information. The PFIP interface allows for both geospatial and non-geospatial queries of data/information found in AFCESA's ACES database, the IWIMS work order database, and other locally-maintained data sources. Facility managers, maintenance engineers, construction engineers, project planners, real property personnel and customer service specialists use PFIP to access information that is critical to their respective missions. This interface has greatly enhanced the availability and use of project and facility information that previously was difficult to track down. PFIP revolves around an Oracle database, several ArcSDE GIS layers and an ASP-based website. From a geospatial perspective, PFIP pages are accessible via custom GIS layers (ArcSDE Views) that are loaded into ArcIMS and ArcMap services.
