The Louisville/Jefferson County Information Consortium (LOJIC) represents a multi-agency effort to build and maintain a comprehensive GIS to serve all of Metro Jefferson County, KY. With more than 300,000 parcels in the county, everyday maintenance can be a daunting task. In an effort to increase efficiency by reducing duplicate data entry, LOJIC chose to integrate parcel-editing functions with their existing CAMA system. Once parcels are split or joined, a transaction manager is displayed on the screen indicating what is available to automatically populate the CAMA database.
