ArcGIS Server Deployment for Regional Transportation Public Access

Long range transportation planning involves a wealth of spatial data including environmental, socio-economic, demographic, and cultural disciplines. For counties in the North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission (NCPRPDC) service area, having access to the most up-to-date information and tools to make community decisions is critical. With advances in technology for Web mapping portal sites, counties/cities, businesses, planners, and the general public can be armed with the best information possible to confront mounting challenges. To meet the region's expectations in terms of day-to-day business processes (Map Production, Data Sharing, Data Dissemination, Data Update, modeling, etc.), the region has developed a robust and scalable ArcGIS Server Web portal environment for mapping, managing, modeling, and maintaining its transportation-related infrastructure.
