In 2007 300 municipalities were reduced to 100. The presenters will talk about the purpose and the background of this great fusion. This structural reform has had a mayor impact on the use of GIS in the public sector. The level of GIS-maturation amongst the standard GIS-user has increased dramatically during the last 10 months. There are also a lot more professions in the municipalities using GIS for their specific needs. The presentation will address the following topics as cases: Integration of GIS and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), handling of administrative application cases and overlay analyzes. GIS-applications for ArcGIS Server in the Danish municipal emergency service. 3D visualisation in environmental recovery projects. Online registration and handling of data catch from citizens.
