Abstract GIS Centric Integration in our Nation's Capital Track: Cadastral and Land Records Author(s): John Codd, Susan Marlow The District of Columbia Office of Tax and Revenue (DC OTR) is implementing a GIS Centric database application integration and analysis system. The DC OTR is moving to have all Real Property Tax Administration (RPTA) applications integrated in such a way that GIS provides a common interface to all other systems. The district is moving away from stovepipe systems to a GIS centric system with a single view into multiple applications via Smart Data Strategies' DREAMaps Analyst, built on ArcServer, that will increase efficiency and enhance the services we provide. The system includes seamless integration with appraisal and tax systems, document management and imaging systems, appeals tracking systems, and class three property systems. The DREAMapsä Transaction Manager will provide a functional dashboard that will centralize data and file activity across all connected systems, providing an audit trail and immediate email alerts in the event of transactional errors.
