Lake levels have been continuously affected by hydrological, meteorological and anthropogenic conditions. Eber and Aksehir lakes are very important fresh water resources and ecological system for many Creatures and located at Akarcay basin in the Central Anatoloia in Turkey. The aim of this study is to investigate lake level changes on Eber and Aksehir Lakes with remote sensing and geographic information systems techniques using six Landsat images from 1975 to 2007. Stream flow data, meteorological data and landuse data is also used. Preliminary result shows that lake levels of Eber and Aksehir lakes are diminishing very drastically in the thirty two years for various reasons.
