Abstract Implementing GIS-Centric Asset Inventory and CMMS (Concept to Operation) Track: Public Works Author(s): Rocky Agbunag, James Boergers An implementation of a functional GIS based Asset Inventory and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is becoming a standard for Public Works and Utilities Departments. Thoroughly understanding the needs and the work flow of the departments operation is a cornerstone for an Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS). A GIS-centric approach along with a performance based budgeting concept must satisfy the needs of the organization, the computing environment and systems that will draw from it or interact with it. Therefore, designing an ArcSDE Geodatabase and using the full suite of Esri products for field inventory and condition assessment of traffic and drainage assets is the key to planning and tracking of maintenance performance, asset management, and work order management system. This presentation will illustrate the project, the design process, key success, and pitfalls of the County of Saint Johns Florida Transportation Infrastructure Inventory / CMMS Implementation.
