Abstract Utilizing Geodatabase-Centric Solutions for Enterprise Content Management System Integration Track: Public Works Author(s): Franklin Fisher, Paul Gorman The Charter Township of Waterford in south eastern Michigan has created an integrated government solution with an OnBase enterprise content (document) management system that connects all Township Departments allowing them to share content and processes Township wide. This investment was further leveraged in the Department of Public Works (DPW) by seamless integration of the application with the Township GIS and Computer Maintenance Management applications. This solution improves productivity by linking content in ArcGIS to OnBase and Cityworks data and decreases IT administration with a single ECM system across the township and allows authorized users in multiple departments share content in a central electronic repository. With this implementation, constituent service has been improved with quick answers to customer inquiries and the ability to spatially manage documents and data associated with work orders and asset infrastructure.
