Large Area Modeling for Archaeological Site Management
Track: Archaeology
Author(s): Kirk Halford, Eric Ingbar

The Bureau of Land Management is responsible for the protection of hundreds of thousands of archaeological sites throughout the United States. Forecast models of archaeological site presence, characteristics, and significance are important tools in managing these resources over millions of acres. This presentation gives a brief survey of several forecast model approaches, discussing analytical and managerial methods.
