Track: Transportation
Author(s): Mike Youngs, John Przybyla

The City of Phoenix is implementing an Enterprise GIS at the nation's ninth-busiest airport, Sky Harbor International Airport. This presentation will describe the organizational, management, and technical components that comprise this solution. The reach of this project is massive, involving nearly 400 feature classes; integration of more than 10 existing systems; a web-based solution with anticipated use by 200 users; and extensive data development. Its scope includes data development of all GIS data above ground, on the surface, underground, and inside the buildings in and around the airport. It also includes integration with SAP, Maintenance Management, Property Management, Document Management, Cable Management, and Pavement Management as well as development of a number of other applications. The system is hosted on Oracle Spatial, and served to Aviation Department users via a Web Portal solution built on ArcGIS Server 9.2.
