Revolutionizing Gas Pipeline Alignment Sheets

Colonial Gas Company has revolutionized the way alignment sheets are created from GIS information. Using native out of the box ArcMap functionality, this organization is able to generate, edit, and navigate gas pipeline alignment sheets directly from ArcMap. This solution was developed on a desire to read data directly from an APDM 4.0, ArcSDE model, and create on-the-fly sheet bands (e.g. profile, pipe band, stationing, ownership, pipe summary, etc.) right inside of layout view for dynamic visualizations of a pipeline's facilities and attributes.

Completely funded by Colonial Gas Company, this solution offers cutting edge ideas that open doors for organizations currently utilizing and distributing paper maps and figures.
