Land-Use and Growth Management Planning using ArcGIS

Recent additions to the urban growth boundary and changes in state statutes for the creation of urban and rural reserves have provided the opportunity for Washington County, Oregon to take a new look at how land use and growth management planning is done. This paper will explain how the County is applying ArcGIS for comprehensive planning of new urban areas and identifying where urban and rural reserves should be located.
