Abstract Using Network Analyst and ALOHA with ModelBuilder Track: Disaster Management and Emergency Response Author(s): LaRied Oates The EPA computer program ALOHA is designed to develop plume models for predicting the distribution of chemicals in accidental spill. Such models are an aid for emergency training, planning and response. Using ALOHA with other geospatial tools can greatly enhance its ease of use and increase the speed at which ALOHA can executed during an emergency response. This paper will explain the advantages and disadvantages of the ALOHA as well as best practices for automating weather information and other parameters for rapid input. In addition, the paper will focus on how to use Network Analyst with ALOHA to explain how to reroute traffic around area impacted by a plume. ModelBuilder will be used to integrate Network Analyst and ALOHA for use in emergency training, planning and response. LaRied Oates Columbia Regional Geospatial Service Center 106.
