Developing Statewide GIS Collaboration Infrastructure for California Community Colleges

Building GIS infrastructure to promote statewide collaboration throughout the California Community College System was rife with challenges of resources, manpower and know-how. Success was found by establishing a common sense of need and vision, establishing an innovative and phased approach, by recruiting an initial team of amazing volunteers, and by tapping into isolated but vital partners and advocates.
