Integrating the Cadastral Editor into Traditional Surveying Workflows
Track: Surveying
Author(s): Anthony Vannozzi

Improving the spatial accuracy of a GIS is at the heart of helping decision makers improve the level of detail and over all confidence with which they can employ spatial data in their decision processes. Surveyors can now utilize the Cadastral Fabric dataset and the Cadastral Editor's tools to bring their specialized understanding of gathering, analyzing and visualizing precise data to bear on improving the spatial accuracy of existing GIS's utilized in numerous applications. Through a series of examples utilizing actual datasets from a traditional land surveying practice this presentation will demonstrate how to harness the power of the Cadastral Editor to improve the accuracy of an existing GIS. Attendees will be shown how to integrate the Cadastral Fabric and the Cadastral Editor workflows into their existing practices and how this can provide opportunities for them to grow their businesses by adding a GIS component or niche.
