Abstract NATO's Afghanistan Country Stability Picture Portal Track: Defense and Intelligence Author(s): Ana Pinheiro, Jose Balsinhas The Afghanistan Country Stability Picture (ACSP) is a geographic database - created and maintained by NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) - of over 70,000 reconstruction and development projects across Afghanistan. It holds information about different Afghan National Development Strategy sectors such as Education, Good Governance, Health, Agriculture and Rural Development, Infrastructure and Natural Resources, Private Sector Development, Security, and Social Protection. The data held in the ACSP comes from multiple sources: Government of Afghanistan (GOA), Provincial Reconstruction Teams (PRT), International and Non Governmental Organizations (NGO). This paper describes the ACSP GeoSpatial Web Site, which was developed and published on the Internet by the NC3A Geo-Team in early 2007. The portal is used by NATO, NGOs and GOAs for optimization and monitoring of reconstruction efforts and is updated at three-month intervals. The Web site is an easy and effective tool for consulting and querying the ACSP database on the Internet. Ana Pinheiro NC3A P.O.
